Three decisions for this review
The immediate goal is to agree on a first activity and a workable delivery scope.
- Priority: begin with Pregnancy Is Heart History, or identify a better first fit for the audience and an eligible funding opportunity.
- Learner experience: agree on the case depth, media format, assessment and expected learning time.
- Responsibilities and cost: confirm the provider, faculty review, host services, reporting and activity-specific quotes before finalizing the request.

Six activities. Six distinct proposals.
One HEART RESERVE catalog presents the educational work. Each activity has its own clinical focus, learner experience, outcomes plan, prospective budget and complete download.
Endocrine-focused proposal
Obesity and Diabetes Care in Women offers a focused approach to an endocrine education grant: postpartum testing, treatment evidence, nutrition and reproductive planning are connected within three realistic clinical visits, with women’s cardiovascular risk reduction as the central educational goal. This recommendation reflects the current content and public funding categories; it is not a funding decision.
Review the complete proposal →New heart-failure proposal
HFpEF in Women: From the First Symptom to Coordinated Treatment now includes an expanded three-module enduring activity, original assessments and three complete narrated case lessons. The new national HFpEF program adds three proposed virtual conferences and a 60-day outcomes plan. Its $179,000 prospective estimate is unquoted and replaces the earlier standalone budget. The October 2026 Boehringer Ingelheim HF call is the priority route for the 2027 live program; funding is not confirmed.
New hyperkalemia proposal
Hyperkalemia in Heart and Kidney Care: Confirm, Respond, and Preserve Treatment targets AstraZeneca’s currently published hyperkalemia funding area. The $60,850 prospective estimate covers one enduring activity with an alternative podcast, independent review, distribution and outcomes. Existing development is contributed. What makes this HEART RESERVE
The teaching begins with the patient’s history, moves through the evidence and ends with a next action and follow-up owner. Original cases and short narrated recaps make the clinical reasoning visible. Mulberry, white, soft neutral panels and bold Inter typography connect the experience to HEART RESERVE’s own website.
The published format benchmark
The myCME-listed Obesity Management During Women’s Reproductive Years: Expert Insights to Your Clinical Queries is a one-hour text module supported by an educational grant from Lilly. It includes named faculty, objectives, disclosures, a posttest and evaluation. HEART RESERVE uses that recognizable educational structure with original content and branding. The published grant amount is not shown, so it is not evidence of a six-figure award.

Match the topic to the funding opportunity
| Activity | Recommended positioning | Planning budget |
|---|---|---|
| Obesity and Diabetes Care in Women | Endocrine education: obesity and diabetes care across reproductive and midlife transitions. | $75,650 |
| Pregnancy Is Heart History | A separate cardiovascular prevention or lipid-education opportunity. | $73,550 |
| GLP-1 Medicines and Pregnancy Planning | A focused endocrine education opportunity addressing reproductive counseling and continuity of care. | $71,400 |
| Kidney Health Is Heart Health | CKD in type 2 diabetes: two-marker testing, organ protection and monitoring. Closest published topic fit: Bayer CKD education. | $57,530 |
| HFpEF in Women | Three proposed 2027 virtual conferences plus the enduring companion; priority route: Boehringer Ingelheim’s October 2026 HF call. Companion eligibility requires confirmation. | $179,000 |
| Hyperkalemia in Heart and Kidney Care | AstraZeneca US MEGO hyperkalemia area; at least 60 days before launch. Topic-specific quote and provider approval pending. | $60,850 |
These are separate planning budgets, not a combined-series price. Shared teaching, media and administration must be allocated once if more than one course is funded.

Current grant criteria and budget treatment
Lilly’s public focus areas include endocrine education. Its detailed priorities are supplied inside the application portal and updated periodically; review them for each application. Public category alignment alone does not confirm that a specific topic is currently eligible. Source: Lilly areas of focus.
Lilly prioritizes accredited education. Its public criteria consider documented care gaps, methodology, expected outcomes and efficient use of funds. Applications need an agenda, audience, objectives, needs assessment, evaluation plan and itemized budget. Source: Lilly grant FAQ.
Budget distinction: Lilly’s 30% overhead allowance applies to healthcare-improvement initiatives. Its education guidance excludes organizational overhead and salaries, and other restrictions affect participant expenses and advertising. The current budgets need line-by-line provider review; a management percentage alone is insufficient. The revised requests exclude generic management/administration and learner pilot honoraria. Host, provider and enhanced outcomes responsibilities are separated in the cost-scope worksheets and still require written quotes and eligibility review. Do not relabel overhead as content development.
The applicant is also the payee under Lilly’s rules. Confirm the eligible legal applicant and accredited-provider arrangement before submitting. No grant award or applicant eligibility is established by this website.
Application and reporting schedule
For a Lilly request prepared in October, plan against the next-year application cycle. Its public FAQ states that next-year requests open in September and may have longer review times. Source: application timing.
Allow at least 60 days before a U.S. program begins. Lilly lists monthly participation reporting and quarterly educational outcomes reporting for relevant IME grants, plus final reporting and financial reconciliation. Build those deliverables into the project calendar and confirm the portal’s current reporting guidance. Source: grant requirements.
Outcomes that support the proposal
For the five foundation activities, preserve baseline and first posttest responses on the same three items; report paired learner counts, item-level changes, missing data and the full six-item posttest separately. The expanded HFpEF activity uses three baseline and three final questions per module, analyzed by module with first attempts retained separately from retries. Follow each activity’s assessment map and outcomes definitions. Case decisions assess application in fictional scenarios. Follow-up reports describe self-reported clinical actions and barriers; they do not claim verified patient benefit.
One-course grant and educator scope
Pregnancy Is Heart History has a $73,550 proposed budget, including the $20,000 one-activity myCME quote and a separately itemized $13,200 proposed HEART RESERVE educator fee. The educator fee covers future curriculum, assessment and narration work at stated hours and rates. The provider reviews the final scope, payment agreement and eligible costs.

Provider and hosting responsibilities
The proposed accredited provider confirms faculty, disclosures, independent review, credit, dates, support acknowledgment and completion rules. The host implements authenticated learner records, privacy controls, assessment reporting, survey delivery and credit claiming. This website supplies the learning content and downloadable implementation materials; its browser-local records are not the production reporting system.
The October 14 myCME proposal supplies the cardiovascular activity’s $20,000 delivery basis, 12-month availability and quoted learner commitments. Other topics require an activity-specific quote. Define recruitment, programming, accessibility, export and follow-up services in the final agreement; do not charge twice for included services.
Release review
- Confirm the current funding opportunity, eligible applicant/payee and final budget categories.
- Appoint faculty and reviewers, resolve disclosures, and complete clinical and full media review.
- Run representative timed learner testing; confirm duration and credit.
- Validate native platform import, navigation, retries, saved records, accessibility and reporting.
The AHA mission email concerns broad cardiovascular or brain-health research. It does not establish eligibility for these educational proposals; a research submission would require its own RFA, eligible institution and protocol.
